One person was arrested from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Sunday and gold weighing 2.3 kilograms and worth Rs 70 Lakh recovered from his possession.
As per an official statement, the passenger was traveling from Sharjah to Hyderabad and was held by the customs official.
A case under relevant sections has been registered. Moreover, the officials are also investigating if more people are involved in the incident.
Further probe is underway.
