One more person has been arrested for allegedly gangraping a 21-year-old college student in Ludhiana, Punjab Police said on Wednesday.
Earlier, Chief Minister Amarinder Singh informed the Punjab Assembly today that three out of the six persons allegedly involved in the heinous crime have been arrested.
The Ludhiana district court has sent three arrested on seven days police remand.
According to the police, the woman in her complaint alleged that ten to eleven people had stopped her car in which she was travelling with a friend from Ludhiana and raped her near Issewal village on February 9.
Speaking to the media, Punjab CM said: "I will approach the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court and personally request to ensure speedy justice in such cases.
