One soldier killed in cross border firing in J-K

Pakistan Rangers on Thursday initiated "unprovoked" firing on a Border Security Force (BSF) patrol party in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba sector, wherein, one constable lost his life.
Tapan Mondal suffered injuries. He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The cross-border firing took place at 9:30 a.m.
The BSF carried out calibrated retributive action against the Pakistan Rangers and caused grievous injuries to minimum two Rangers.
The retaliatory action continued up to 2:00 p.m.
