Pakistan's Army Chief has urged troops to remain ready for future challenges.

During a visit to the Armoured Division at Gujranwala garrison, General Raheel Sharif said the troops have to remain prepared to face potential challenges, Dawn News reports.

According to the report, meanwhile the government has called for 'fast-tracking' the peace initiative to prevent it from falling prey to 'ill-wishers'.
