Pak High Commissioner calls on SAARC Secretary General

Pakistan's High Commissioner to India Sohail Mahmood called on the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Secretary-General, Amjad Hussain B. Sial here today.
During the meeting, matters related to the SAARC's process and promotion of goals and objectives were discussed.
High Commissioner Mahmood reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to keep working to strengthen SAARC as an effective instrument of regional cooperation in South Asia.
Secretary-General Sial was in India to attend the inaugural session of the International Conference of Women Entrepreneurs on "Innovation, Incubation and Industrialisation", in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, from January 17-19.
Established in 1985, SAARC is among the primary organisations for regional cooperation in South Asia.
Pakistan is among the founding members of SAARC. Other countries include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives and Sri Lanka.
