Describing terrorism as a menace, Afghan Ambassador to India Dr. Shaida Mohammad Abdali on Thursday said that both India and Afghanistan is sincere towards fighting terrorism, adding that rather than blaming other countries Pakistan should focus on fighting terrorism the way it is required.

"Rather than blaming Afghanistan or any other country, it is best to focus on fighting terrorism the way it is required, which is not to distinguish between terrorist, which is not to use terrorism as a tool for political gain, it is not to have a double standards when it comes to fighting terrorism because we believe it is a fight for all including Pakistan," Abdali told ANI.

Abdali said that Afghanistan is the biggest victim of terrorism and, hence, it cannot be said that it is in cahoots with terrorist and has hands in spreading terrorism.

"The only expectation Afghanistan has from it neighbours, mainly from Pakistan, is to go along with us to fight the menace. This is not only hurting Afghanistan and India, but also Pakistan and the people of Pakistan," Abdali said.

He further said hoped that the sincerity India and Afghan has for eradicating terrorism becomes the norms for all.
