Pakistan flag waved in Srinagar amid beef ban protest

Clashes broke out here on Friday between the police and people protesting against the beef ban in Jammu and Kashmir, when some masked men were spotted displaying the Pakistani flag.

Some protesters also pelted stones at the police who then retaliated with rubber bullets.

There have been no reports of any injuries so far.

Last week, several bovine animals were reportedly slaughtered in Kashmir's Anantnag district as a mark of protest against the high court order banning beef in the state.
