Pankaj Saran appointed Indian envoy to Russia

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pankaj Saran has been appointed as Indian Ambassador to Russia.

He is expected to take up his assignment shortly.

Saran will replace P.S. Raghavan, who presented his credentials as Ambassador of India to the Russian Federation, to Russian President Vladimir Putin on January 16, 2014.
