Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday wished the nation on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
The Prime Minister took to twitter to convey his wishes.
"Good wishes to all of you on this auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri. Greetings on Maha Shivratri," Prime Minister Modi stated in a tweet.
Mahashivratri is a Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is observed on the 13th night /14th day of the 11 Hindu month of Phalguna or Maagh every year.
Devotees celebrate the auspicious day by fasting and offering special prayers to Lord Shiva.
