Ridesharing platform Uber announced the appointment of Pradeep Parameswaran as the new President of India and South Asia, effective immediately.
Pradeep will be responsible for leading the Rides operation to new heights for riders and drivers across India and South Asia.
"Over the last year and a half, Pradeep has been instrumental in our growth, cementing the region as a critical contributor to our global vision. Pradeep is a strong people leader and has over two decades of management experience across the technology, media and telecommunications sectors. I am very excited and confident that he will take Uber India and South Asia to even greater heights," said Amit Jain, Head of Asia Pacific, Uber (Rides).
Pradeep joined Uber in January last year, and was leading Operations for Uber in India and South Asia.
Prior to Uber, Pradeep served as the CEO of Den Networks, a Cable TV company, post his 13-year stint at McKinsey & Co.
