President condoles U. R. Ananthamurthy's demise

President Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the passing away of Jnanpith Awardee and renowned Kannada writer U. R. Ananthamurthy.

The President said that the nation will always remember Ananthamurthy's invaluable contribution to literature.

Ananthamurthy passed away yesterday in a private hospital in Bangalore due to kidney failure.
