President Maithripala Sirisena has invited American investors to come to Sri Lanka without fear, and described it as a most suitable country for foreign investment.

President Sirisena extended this invitation earlier this week when he met American investors at a Breakfast Forum on featuring investment opportunities in Sri Lanka, which was hosted by the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU) at Hotel Waldorf Astoria in New York.

The Colombo Page quoted President Sirisena, as saying that his government's goal is to make Sri Lanka a paradise for investors.

He said the required infrastructure facilities to establish Sri Lanka as a center of commerce and investments are already in place in the country.
