Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday reviewed the security situation of the country at a high-level meeting in New Delhi.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and internal security officers were present at the meeting, where the repeated ceasefire violation by Pakistan was reportedly discussed.

Earlier on Saturday, the Home Minister had asked the Pakistani Government to take steps at their end to stop future ceasefire violations.

"It is our neighbouring country and we want good relations with all our neighbours. I think the Pakistani Government should take steps at their end to stop such violations in future," he added.

Meanwhile, Pakistan resorted to yet another fresh ceasefire violation along the International Border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir today, resulting in the death of one Border Security Force (BSF) jawan.

Pakistan has already violated the ceasefire agreement on a number of occasions in 2015, with several getting killed along either side of the border.

On Saturday, two army jawans and a woman were killed while 11 people were injured in the firing; while Pakistani firing on Thursday had left two persons dead, including a BSF jawan, and nine others injured.

Five Pakistani Rangers had been killed in retaliatory firing.
