Legendary rapid fire shooter Ralf Schumann believes that India has a rich talent pool of aspiring young shooters, which could yield positive results in the future.
"We are looking for more talent in the junior team. We really have good shooters here. It is not easy to go in the competition. We have a good way for future and we learn step by step," said Schumann, a three-time Olympic gold medallist at 25m rapid fire pistol event, during a five-day training camp at Manav Rachna Sports Academy.
The presence of the German legend has created a lot of excitement among the budding shooters and Achal Pratap Grewal, who recently bagged the individual and team gold in junior men's standard pistol in the 13th Asian shooting championship in Kuwait City this month, believes that the experience will help them significantly for the future events.
"This is the starting of the camp but we are going to learn a lot. I got the gold in junior so there is a long way to go. Schumann has a lot of experience and he is sharing it with us. He explains the things very easily," said Pratap Grewal.
The five-day training camp will conclude on November 28.
