In a major relief for Bollywood actor Salman Khan, the Bombay High Court on Thursday quashed all the charges against him in the 2002 hit-and-run case.
The order came after the prosecution failed to prove the charges against the actor.
Pronouncing the verdict, Justice A.R. Joshi said Salman cannot be convicted on the basis of evidence submitted by the prosecution.
Meanwhile, security has been stepped up outside the Bombay High Court here.
