Snapdeal Gold service receives overwhelming response

ANI  |  New Delhi [India]

Snapdeal's Gold service received an overwhelming response from users with 103,762 customers upgrading their orders to Snapdeal Gold within the first 24 hours of launch.

The service has struck a chord with online shoppers with its simple and clear promise that better service does not mean extra charge.

Free Shipping is an important consideration amongst e-commerce users, especially those who use online shopping regularly to buy a variety of everyday goods. Snapdeal Gold is hugely relevant for these users, since the service provides for free shipping without any conditions of membership, subscription charges or minimum order value.

Unlike other services, which require upfront payments to receive any benefits, Snapdeal Gold is a free service upgrade, which provides free shipping, free upgrade to next day delivery and extended 14-days return period.

Snapdeal Gold is available for all orders where the user pays for the order at the time of order booking and covers nearly five million products available through SD+ (Snapdeal's fulfillment centers).

"At Snapdeal all customers are special and we don't believe that better service should be reserved only for few. We are delighted with the huge response to Snapdeal Gold. The entire offering is built on real needs expressed by our users and we are confident that Snapdeal Gold will set new standards in customer service," said a Snapdeal spokesperson.

Snapdeal Gold is neither a membership plan nor a loyalty program. It is range of free service upgrade that is available to all users.
