ANI New Delhi

Social activist Swami Agnivesh has criticised the Maoists for killing seven policemen, which also included a Superintendent of Police (SP), in Jharkhand's Dumka district.

Speaking to the media here today, Swami said, " Naxals must stop all these things. There must be a discussion between the state government and the Naxalites. This must be stopped, as they are also someone's son. They won't benefit from this thing."

Balihar, the SP, was traveling with several constables when their vehicles were ambushed. Balihar had only recently been promoted as the SP of Pakur. He was from the state police cadre.
