Janata Dal (United) leader Sharad Yadav on Friday backed the Indian Government for initiating talks with Pakistani.

"People have been commenting negatively, it should be kept aside and talks should continue because the dialogues between India and Pakistan have prevailed even when the war was going on," said Yadav.

"The differences between both countries is 69-years-old and they will be distractions from all the sides but the focus should be on engaging in dialogues," he added.

Yadav further said that there can be no alternatives except the dialogues between both the neighbors.

Responding on an internal rift in BJP over talks with Pakistan Yadav said, "This is a matter of their own party and they should resolve it but I would like the talks should continue because a bullet can never be an answer to a bullet.
