Tense situation in Assam-Nagaland border

The Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad and the All Assam Tea Tribe students Association have imposed an indefinite economic blockade on all highways connecting Nagaland with Assam to protest against the violence along the Assam-Nagaland border.
On 12th August, armed Naga miscreants raided villages along the border in Assam's Golaghat district and started firing indiscriminately, killing 3 persons and injuring several others.
They also burnt down several houses.
Around 5000 people who were forced to leave the villages are taking shelter in 6 relief camps at Uriamghat.
