At least three persons were killed and ten others were wounded in a suicide attack on an army bus on Thursday.

An Afghan interior ministry said in a statement that it was the fourth attack in Kabul since September 29, when new president Ashraf Ghani was sworn in.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack. Its leader, Mullah Mohammad Omar, urged Afghans to wage a jihad to establish a Islamic rule in Afghanistan.

He reportedly described the just concluded presidential polls as a "publicity stunt".
