The vehicular traffic on Badrinath National Highway in Uttarakhand resumed on Sunday after remaining blocked for several days due to a landslide.

The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) worked swiftly to clear the blockage due to landslide, which was triggered by incessant rains in the region over the last few days, near Patalganga.

The disaster prone Uttarakhand has faced many natural calamities in the recent times due to its hilly terrain and presence of several massive rivers passing through mountains.

In recent times, landslides also took place in Tangni, Patalganga, Govindghat and Lambaghar near Chamoli.
