Two AoN approved in Defence Acquisition Council meeting

Two Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) were approved by the Ministry of Defence in the Defence Acquisition Council meeting held today.

The AoN includes an intermediate level engine repair facility for the MiG-29K fighter aircraft, which is a shore based facility at the Naval Aircraft Yard in Goa.

It also includes a continuation of coastal surveillance system in the form of a static sensor chain for gapless electronic surveillance.
