Two militants killed in Shopian encounter

Two militants were killed in an encounter with the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district on Wednesday.

The gun battle between the security personnel and militants was still on when last reports came in.

The encounter began last evening as a joint team of the army and police began a search operation in the area after getting information about the presence of militants.

The security forces are still looking for a third militant who is said to be hiding in the area.
