Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Parliament.

This is the first meeting between Adityanath and Prime Minister Modi after the former took over as the Chief Minister on Sunday.

The Prime Minister Modi's office tweeted photos of the two BJP leaders.

The Chief Minister will later meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at his residence, after which he will call on President Pranab Mukherjee.

The Chief Minister will also be meeting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and party veteran Lal Krishna Advani.

Adityanath, a five-time Lok Sabha MP from Gorakhpur, was sworn-in as the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister on March 19 while Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma took oath as deputy chief ministers of the state.
