US claims world powers, Iran progressing on Tehran nuclear deal as deadline nears

World powers and Iran have made progress in reaching an agreement on Iran nuclear deal as the deadline nears, according to U.S. senior administration officials.

According to CNN, U.S. senior administration officials warned that difficult issues still remain.

The meeting was held in Lausanne, Switzerland, for a third day of diplomatic negotiations on the nuclear deal.

The official also said that they have some tough issues to address.

State Department Spokeswoman Jen Psaki described the discussions as "solid, substantive and difficult, but constructive.
