Gerry Goffin, who became a songwriting powerhouse in the 1960s passed away at the age of 75 at his home in Los Angeles.
The New York-born lyricist penned classics such as 'Will You Love Me Tomorrow' for girl group The Shirelles, Aretha Franklin's 'You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman', and Little Eva's 'The Loco-Motion', Contactmusic reported.
Goffin's other notable tracks include Bobby Vee's 'Take Good Care of My Baby', the Monkees' 'Pleasant Valley Sunday' and 'Some Kind of Wonderful' for The Drifters.
CaroleKing, who was got separated from Goffin, stated that Goffin was a good man with a dynamic force, whose words and creative influence will resonate for generations to come.
