According to a new report, United States' SEAL Team Six that is known for killing Osama Bin Laden has become a 'global man hunting machine', which operates only with partial oversight and often kills civilians.
The reports said the Navy Special Forces unit that officially operates under the cover name 'Naval Special Warfare Development Group' has developed into more than 300 operators and 1,500 back-up personnel, reported the Independent.
The use of the special unit was expanded after the invasion of Afghanistan by the US and the UK in late 2001 and the subsequent
operation against the Taliban fighters.
The report also suggested that more members of the unit have died in the past 14 years than in its entire previous history.
The unit is also the least scrutinised unit even though its operations have grown.
