Asserting that climate change is a major global challenge, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said there is a need to restore the balance between humanity and nature.
"It is the result of global warming that came from the progress of an industrial age powered by fossil fuels. We in India face consequences of it (climate change) today. We are concerned about the rising oceans," said Prime Minister Modi after inaugurating the India Pavilion here.
