Youth Congress party workers on Tuesday were baton charged by the police as they staged a protest over the land acquisition bill outside the legislative assembly.
Congress leader Sachin Pilot was present in the protest.
"The party workers were peacefully surrounding the legislative assembly to protest against the BJP proposed land acquisition bill," Pilot said.
"We didn't cause any trouble while protesting but the State Government ordered the police to baton charge on our workers and our workers got seriously injured," he added.
Sachin Pilot further accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of suppressing farmers' rights.
"We will keep on raising the voice of the farmers and they will come on streets to fight for their rights" he said.
