2014 Mini Cooper teased ahead of its world debut at LA

BMW has released a teaser image of the all-new 2014 MINI Cooper ahead of its world debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The teaser shows a black MINI Cooper S on a black background. The vehicle gets an all-new horeshoe-shaped LED daytime running lights lit up. The new MINI will be officially unveiled on October 18, 2013, and will also participate in two motor shows - 2013 Tokyo Motor Show and the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The company has already announced that the 2014 model will be made available with three- and four-cylinder engines. While the 1.5-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine is capable of developing 136bhp and 220N of top torque, the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine churns out a maximum power output of 192bhp and 280Nm of top torque.

 

The teaser image has been released as a part of a competition, and it also accompanied a series of videos explaining the MINI's upcoming three-city launch program. This program will allow three competition winners and invest them as guests to see the unveiling live. The winners will get a chance to witness the three exclusive launch events within a week, covering one each in London on November 18, LA on November 19 and Shanghai on November 21.
