South Korean automaker Hyundai has introduced a new CX trim to its Verna fluidic sedan lineup. With this new variant, Hyundai aims to counter the growing popularity of the newly launched Honda City. Moreover, it also offers a wide range of option to its perspective buyers. The new Verna CX is being offered with 1.4-litre petrol and diesel versions, and it has been priced at Rs. 8.07 lakh and Rs. 9.28 lakh respectively.
Positioned between the EX and SX models, the new Hyundai Verna CX comes equipped with a series of safety, comfort and convenience features. This features include Anti-lock braking system, steering mounted audio controls, climate control, airbags, rear disc brakes, rear view camera, parking sensors and few others. It sports diamond cut alloy wheels as standard.
Interestingly, Hyundai India has also revamped its entire Verna lineup. The company has discontinued the 1.4-litre EX base variant and the 1.6 EX automatic. Adding to it, the Verna 1.6 SX trim now gets the automatic gearbox, which was earlier available only on 1.6L SX (O). The top of the line SX (O) variant also gets the side and curtain airbags, and speed sensing door locks.
