Australia: Market gains on relief rally

Australian stock market finished session higher on Monday, 16 April 2018, on easing US-Russia tensions over Syria and the China-US trade tiff. Most of ASX sectors inclined, with strength in miners and energy sectors countered by a fall in banks. The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 12.2 points, or 0.21%, at 5,841.3 points, while the broader All Ordinaries up 8.3 points, or 0.14%, to 5,933 points.
