Net inflow of Rs 1262.30 crore on 9 May 2014
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 1262.30 crore on Friday, 9 May 2014, which was higher than inflow of Rs 527.80 crore on Thursday, 8 May 2014.
The net inflow of Rs 1262.30 crore on Friday, 9 May 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4679.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 3416.90 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 1260.60 crore into the secondary equity market on Friday, 9 May 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4677.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 3416.90 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had surged 650.19 points or 2.91% to settle at 22,994.23 on that day, a record closing high for the index.
There was a net inflow of Rs 1.70 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on Friday, 9 May 2014.
FIIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 3386.90 crore in this month so far (till 9 May 2014). FIIs purchased shares worth a net Rs 9602.40 crore in April 2014.
