GE Shipping gains after executing delivery of a dry bulk carrier

Great Eastern Shipping Company rose 1.21% to Rs 369 at 15:25 IST on BSE after the company announced delivering a dry bulk carrier to the buyer.

The company made the announcement during market hours today, 3 September 2015.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 318.56 points, or 1.25%, to 25,772.12.

On BSE, so far 5,061 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 38,502 shares in the past one quarter.

Shares of mid-cap company hit a high of Rs 372.25 and a low of Rs 361.45 so far during the day. The stock had 52-week high of Rs 467 on 16 September 2014. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 326.75 on 5 February 2015.

 

Great Eastern Shipping Company (GE Shipping) completed the delivery of the dry bulk carrier which it had contracted for sale last month.

On consolidated basis, Great Eastern Shipping Company's net profit rose 45.2% to Rs 323.67 crore on 12.8% rise in total income to Rs 1026.87 crore in Q1 June 2015 over Q1 June 2014.

Great Eastern Shipping Company is into the shipping business.
