HCL Infosystems lost 2.7% to Rs 88.40 at 14:11 IST on BSE on profit booking after gaining 20.81% in prior four trading days.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 117.24 points or 0.43% at 27,089.50
On BSE, so far 9.61 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 9.02 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 93.50 and a low of Rs 87.05 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 94.50 on Monday, 22 September 2014. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 19.05 on 18 December 2013.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 22 September 2014, rising 10.32% compared with 2.98% rise in the Sensex. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, surging 46.65% as against Sensex's 8.37% rise.
