Healthcare stocks edge lower
Healthcare stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index decreasing 25.57 points or 0.19% at 13342.78 at 13:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Hikal Ltd (down 3.76%), Dr Reddys Laboratories Ltd (down 3.05%),Vivimed Labs Ltd (down 2.65%),Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd (down 2.38%),Albert David Ltd (down 2.06%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Shalby Ltd (down 1.72%), Dr Lal Pathlabs Ltd (down 1.71%), Cadila Healthcare Ltd (down 1.31%), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd (down 1.18%), and FDC Ltd (down 1.13%).
On the other hand, Caplin Point Laboratories Ltd (up 4.21%), Gufic BioSciences Ltd (up 4.16%), and Panacea Biotec Ltd (up 2.6%) turned up.
At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 418.09 or 1.03% at 40999.8.
The Nifty 50 index was up 108.35 points or 0.91% at 12080.15.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 84.25 points or 0.64% at 13308.23.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 30.51 points or 0.65% at 4695.46.
On BSE,1405 shares were trading in green, 894 were trading in red and 170 were unchanged.
