Healthcare shares rise
Healthcare stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index rising 67.91 points or 0.52% at 13070.66 at 09:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Wockhardt Ltd (up 8.08%), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 7.9%),Unichem Laboratories Ltd (up 3.64%),Albert David Ltd (up 3.6%),Aurobindo Pharma Ltd (up 2.88%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were RPG Life Sciences Ltd (up 2.47%), ERIS Lifesciences Ltd (up 2.16%), Indoco Remedies Ltd (up 1.97%), Metropolis Healthcare Ltd (up 1.95%), and Strides Pharma Science Ltd (up 1.77%).
On the other hand, Fortis Healthcare Ltd (down 4.24%), Opto Circuits (India) Ltd (down 1.86%), and Suven Life Sciences Ltd (down 1.61%) moved lower.
At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 40.24 or 0.1% at 40396.93.
The Nifty 50 index was up 15.4 points or 0.13% at 11910.85.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 22.37 points or 0.17% at 13348.77.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 9.93 points or 0.21% at 4659.12.
On BSE,877 shares were trading in green, 684 were trading in red and 86 were unchanged.
