Healthcare stocks edge lower

Healthcare stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index decreasing 148.74 points or 1.12% at 13166.91 at 13:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Procter & Gamble Health Ltd (down 5.49%), Caplin Point Laboratories Ltd (down 5.37%),DIL Ltd (down 5.36%),Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company Ltd (down 4.98%),Wockhardt Ltd (down 4.21%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd (down 3.52%), Hikal Ltd (down 3.25%), Sequent Scientific Ltd (down 2.94%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd (down 2.61%), and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 2.27%).

On the other hand, Vimta Labs Ltd (up 5.34%), Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 4.29%), and Take Solutions Ltd (up 3.27%) turned up.

 

At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 91.93 or 0.23% at 40561.81.

The Nifty 50 index was down 38.65 points or 0.32% at 11973.4.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 6.15 points or 0.05% at 13552.18.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 3.3 points or 0.07% at 4676.88.

On BSE,1080 shares were trading in green, 1253 were trading in red and 168 were unchanged.
