India's overseas direct investment fell by 6.4% in October 2013 on m-o-m basis

On y-o-y basis it declined by 45.6%

India recorded a fall in overseas direct investment by 6.4% in October 2013 to US$1216.56 million total financial commitment compared with US$1299.26 million in September 2013, RBI data showed.

The fall in investment was due to fall in investment in the loan and guarantee issued mode by 4.5% and 18.7%, respectively. While the investment in equity mode showed a rise of 54.4% in October 2013 over September 2013.

On yearly basis also, the total financial commitment declined by 45.6% in October 2013 due to fall in all the three investments mode.
