NHPC reports net loss of Rs 707.40 crore in the March 2014 quarter

Sales decline 4.02% to Rs 996.01 crore

Net loss of NHPC reported to Rs 707.40 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against net profit of Rs 583.26 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013. Sales declined 4.02% to Rs 996.01 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 1037.71 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013.

For the full year,net profit declined 58.32% to Rs 978.79 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against Rs 2348.22 crore during the previous year ended March 2013. Sales rose 5.66% to Rs 5335.11 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against Rs 5049.13 crore during the previous year ended March 2013.
