Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel and SBI top traded stock futures on NSE today.
The Nifty May 2020 futures were at 9,222.90, a premium of 17.3 points compared with the spot closing at 9,205.6.Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was Rs 10.08 lakh crore compared with Rs 7.07 lakh crore reported in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index declined 87.9 points or 0.95% and closed at 9,205.6.
The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, fell 0.93% to 43.2625.
On the options front, the Nifty option chain for 28 May 2020 expiry showed maximum call open interest (OI) of 13.61 lakh at the 10,000 strike price. Maximum put OI of 24.77 lakh contracts was seen at 9,000 strike price.
Reliance Industries (RIL), Bharti Airtel and State Bank of India were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. RIL May 2020 futures were at 1,464, compared with spot closing price of 1462.65. Bharti Airtel May 2020 futures were at 528 compared with spot closing price of 528.80. SBI May 2020 futures were at 170.90, compared with spot closing price of 171.40.
The F&O contracts for May will expire on 28 May 2020.
