PSU stocks witness demand

The Nifty CPSE index was up 3.16% at 1,302.75, reversing some of the losses acquired on Monday.
In the previous session, the index slipped 0.58% to end at 1,262.80.
The index opened 1.64% higher at 1,283.50 on Tuesday. It has hit a high of 1,314.05 and a low 1,274.75 so far during the day.
Among the index constituents, ONGC (up 6.87%), Oil India (up 6.73%), Coal India (up 4.54%), NMDC (up 4.42%), Power Grid Corporation of India (up 3.12%), Bharat Electronics (up 2.62%), SJVN (up 2.46%), NLC India (up 2.08%), NTPC (up 2.02%), NBCC (India) (up 1.53%) and NHPC (up 0.25%) advanced.
Meanwhile, Cochin Shipyard was down 2.44%.
The Nifty CPSE index has fallen 15.66% in March so far. The index is down 45.67% from its 52-week high of 2,398 hit on 6 June 2019.
