Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index records a surge of 1.43%

Nifty IT index ended up 1.43% at 14225.35 today. The index has added 3.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Infosys Ltd rose 2.81%, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd added 2.39% and HCL Technologies Ltd gained 2.26%. The Nifty IT index has increased 26.00% over last one year compared to the 2.75% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index has slid 1.33% and Nifty Energy index gained 1.30% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 increased 0.54% to close at 10685.6 while the SENSEX increased 0.45% to close at 35513.14 today.
