Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index rises 4.07%, NIFTY jumps 1.85%

Nifty IT index closed up 4.07% at 14940.1 today. The index is down 8.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Tech Mahindra Ltd gained 8.58%, Mindtree Ltd added 8.23% and HCL Technologies Ltd jumped 5.05%. The Nifty IT index is up 38.00% over last one year compared to the 0.50% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Services Sector index added 2.45% and Nifty PSU Bank index added 2.42% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 1.85% to close at 10386.6 while the SENSEX added 1.63% to close at 34442.05 today.
