Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index registers a drop of 3.35%

Nifty Pharma index closed down 3.35% at 7148.95 today. The index has lost 11.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd dropped 18.97%, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd shed 9.46% and Piramal Enterprises Ltd fell 7.18%. The Nifty Pharma index has decreased 25.00% over last one year compared to the 7.85% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSE index has slid 2.01% and Nifty Commodities index has dropped 1.52% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 0.43% to close at 11126.4 while the SENSEX has slid 0.38% to close at 37531.98 today.
