Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index declines 2.95%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended down 2.95% at 2446.95 today. The index is down 18.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Allahabad Bank shed 8.18%, Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd dropped 5.37% and Oriental Bank of Commerce fell 4.33%. The Nifty PSU Bank index is down 25.00% over last one year compared to the 5.64% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Metal index is down 2.89% and Nifty Commodities index has dropped 2.19% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.89% to close at 10918.7 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.72% to close at 37060.37 today.
