Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 40.94 points, or 0.12% to 34,051.55.Reliance Communications surged 23.53% at Rs 26.35. The stock topped the gainers in 'A' group. On the BSE, 4.23 crore shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 2.22 crore shares in the past two weeks.
Prestige Estates Projects spurted 7.32% at Rs 322.60. The stock was the second biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 85,000 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 23,000 shares in the past two weeks.
Wockhardt jumped 6.89% at Rs 927.80. The stock was the third biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 4.35 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 3.21 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
Rallis India climbed 5.96% at Rs 273. The stock was the fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 7 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 1.77 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries rose 5.87% at Rs 572.15. The stock was the fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 10.65 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 2.30 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
