Sagar Cement tumbles after February business update

Sagar Cement declined 2.71% to Rs 414.30 after the cement manufacturer announced production and sales numbers for the month of February 2020.

On a consolidated basis, production/purchase of cement fell 3.59% to 287,833 in February 2020 over February 2019. Cement sales rose 2.44% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis to 294,518 MT in February 2020.

On a standalone basis, production/purchase of cement fell 7.93% to 207,860 on a yearly basis in February 2020. Cement sales declined 2.55% to 212,002 MT YoY.

Sagar Cements is engaged in manufacturing clinker and ordinary portland cement (OPC).
