SpiceJet standalone net profit rises 225.00% in the March 2016 quarter

Sales rise 85.12% to Rs 1448.66 crore

Net profit of SpiceJet rose 225.00% to Rs 73.19 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 22.52 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015. Sales rose 85.12% to Rs 1448.66 crore in the quarter ended March 2016 as against Rs 782.57 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2015.

For the full year,net profit reported to Rs 407.20 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against net loss of Rs 687.05 crore during the previous year ended March 2015. Sales declined 2.94% to Rs 5020.40 crore in the year ended March 2016 as against Rs 5172.73 crore during the previous year ended March 2015.
