Turnover on NSE's F&O segment drops

RIL July futures trade at premium

The Nifty July 2017 futures traded at 9911.25, at a discount of 4 points compared with Nifty's spot closing of 9915.25 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment dropped to Rs 5.73 lakh crore from turnover of Rs 9.90 lakh crore registered yesterday, 20 July 2017.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 41.95 points or 0.42% to settle at 9,915.25, its highest closing level since 17 July 2017.

Reliance Industries (RIL), Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (DHFL), Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank and Idea Cellular were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. RIL July 2017 futures traded at 1588.20, at a premium over spot closing of 1584. DHFL July 2017 futures traded at 459, near spot closing of 457.45.

 

Bharti Airtel July 2017 futures traded at 411.15, near spot closing of 411. HDFC Bank July 2017 futures traded at 1702, at a discount to spot closing of 1703.25. Idea Cellular July 2017 futures traded at 91.70, near spot closing of 91.65.

The July 2017 F&O contracts will expire on 27 July 2017.
